Gülnur Birol, Director, Science Centre For Learning and Teaching, Faculty of Science, University of British Columbia, birol@science.ubc.ca. Gülnur holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering. Gülnur directs and oversees the centre’s activities across the Faculty of Science. Her recent collaborations include development of an award winning Seminar in Science Course, implementation of faculty practices survey and managing and evaluating large scale flexible learning projects in the Faculty of Science.
